The river and the land of the Draa Valley are the very essence of this unique piece of pottery art. Potters dig up the clay, then turn and shape the clay into these unique pieces. The pottery is hand dipped in mixtures of green or yellow glaze giving it those unique and distinctive colors. The pottery is then fired in one of seven kilns using only renewable wood to fire it at high temperatures reaching up to 1200c. All the pieces are fired underground for several days. The unique process is unlike any other and each piece produced bares its own unique marks, patterns and traits.
